christmas

So for Christmas this was my gift...well our little addition. Seeing as the money is ours and his paycheck covers rent and that's about it. :)
His name is Rufus, he's three months old and he's the CUTEST thing ever.
He's a handful, a pain in the butt at times, but we love him!
John got his PS3 and he loved it. He said he kind of had an idea after Riley made the comment a couple of days before Christmas that John's XBox only had to "last until Christmas."
THANKS BROOZER.
Just kidding. It was okay. He was excited, and that made it a great day.
Our new little family. :)
Patty gave these teeth to the whole family, and this is what we're wearing for the Christmas card for next year. They're pretty freaking attractive I must say.
What a special bunch..
Rufus was licking C's hand. She wasn't enjoying it, but she wasn't hating it either. It was cute to watch.

Cutest little C! She loves John and we love her.

Overall Christmas was great. A really long day jumping from place to place but it was nice to see everyone and just enjoy the family time.

This is the from the day after Christmas. Testing out our new camera. :)

John is in the middle of eating Chinese food. Whooo.

Well...now it's on to New Years. Can you believe that it's been a decade since all that Y2K crap?

WEIRD.

Jazz v. Magic

John and I went to the Jazz v. Magic game a couple weeks ago. Total fluke, but it was really fun.

The Lawrence family attorney gave us his season tickets for the night, and they were down on the 20th row; pretty freaking awesome (especially when we didn't have to pay for them)

The game started out really poorly for the Jazz...by the end of the first quarter I thought for sure we were toast, but in the third quarter they started to come back and sealed the deal in the fourth. Too bad we didn't see the fourth...John made me leave at the end of the third because it was eleven o'clock. I was kind of, sort of, pissed.

Oh well...it was fun. :)

okay so I must say...I wrote that last post in the heat of the moment. May have been a little extreme. Sorry if I offended anyone, that is truly not my intention. Ever.
on to happier moments..
Christmas is 16 days away.
Haven't done any shopping, except for John.
I have quite the surprise headed his way and he's freaking out because he knows I have a secret but there is no way I am telling him until I give him his gift.
LOVE IT.
Other than that, I haven't done anything. I need a present for my parents...either combined or separate...and then two for the Grow cousin exchange. Adam and Cali, for those of you who know them, I'm ready to take any suggestions.
And then we have the Lawrence gift exchange. We don't know what to get for the two we have for that either.
Pretty much we're donezo. 16 days. Eek!
This weekend we're going to see A Christmas Carol at Hale Centre Theater, and I'm SO stoked. I've always wanted to go, but have never been. So that will be exciting.
Next week is finals and after Tuesday I can finally enjoy the season!
SO READY.

If you know me, you know that I'm not one to hold back on my opinion.
I just watched a trailer on the new movie "8: A Mormon Proposition"
I was..um you could say, angry, at least.
The whole movie pretty much is about how Mormons are evil.
You know, I don't have anything against homosexuals, I believe that they deserve the same rights as any straight couple but I do believe that marriage is between a man and woman.
The thing that makes me the most angry is that throughout this preview there were signs that said "Stop the Hate." That's a little hypocritical don'tcha think? You are proclaiming that you're against hate, but that's exactly what you're doing. Hating an entire religion.
They're standing up for what they believe in, and so is the church.
If I do remember correctly, just recently the LDS Church endorsed a bill in Salt Lake that stated that all couples (no matter their sexual orientation) deserve the same rights as anyone else.
I guess I just don't understand. Call me young and stupid, tell me I'm sheltered, but I really don't know how you can attack one religion. The Catholic Church supported prop 8 also, but you don't see anyone attacking them.
Boggling.

it's been a day

one of those days where nothing seem to go right.
well..it's acutally been almost two weeks of those days.
First. My iPod broke. Totally freaked out on me and now it won't even turn on.
Great.
Second. My phone is being retarded. The home button is slow to respond, and once it does respond, I try to lock my phone and all it does is take a picture.
Apple is pissing me off royally right now.
And then today. Oh today.
Let's start from the beginning.
Yesterday I woke up...well kind of woke up, I'd been up all night tossing and turning. So when it was time to get up for work I was not functioning. I couldn't open my eyes, I was achey and tired, and I just hurt.
So...I called in sick. Spent the day at home, sleeping off whatever it was that was bothering me. Ironic that I can sleep during the day but can't see to fall asleep at night, right?
So I get into work today, not really excited to be here because after all, I really don't like my job. I open up my Outlook and there is an email waiting for me entitled "Holiday Pay". You see, I was required to work Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of last week and received Thursday and Friday as paid holidays. Well, since I woke up and wasn't feeling well enough to come to work yesterday...I no longer get my holiday pay. It's "company policy" that I work the day before and the day after a holiday.. (Or I guess 4 days after the holiday) in order to receive my pay.
I lost it.
Sitting at my desk, started to cry my eyes out. Some may think this is overreacting but two days pay isn't pocket change to people like the Lawrences.
So, needless to say, I've been a mess all day.
My stomach has started to hurt, which I'm sure is a result of the stress about the fact that my paycheck is going to be less than expected; and to top it all off, I'm out of sick leave for the year so what do I get to do? Work ten hour shifts for the rest of the week to make up for yesterday.
Yipee.
So here I am, quarter after six, still sitting here. Don't worry that I have class on Tuesday nights, and yes, it started fifteen minutes ago.
My final is in two weeks from tonight and I'm going to have to study my butt off. I have a group project/final due a week from Friday and one of the kids is COMPLETELY MIA( missing in action all you old fogies.) OH, and! Not only am I working ten hour days at the firm BUT I also get to work at Kingsbury every night this week.
Holy freaking cow I think I might die.
I'm frustrated, can ya tell?

Max Hall hates me and thinks I'm classless..

And I'm totally okay with it.
Utah Man sir, Utah man am I. Utah man sir, and will be 'til I die!
GO UTES!

I want this shirt.

oh...and this one.
Thanks Max Hall. This is fun.

as of late.

I don't know about the rest of you, but my blogger has been acting up, and I'm not really liking it!
Here are posts I've been trying to post for a couple of days!

John and I went to Anthony's wrestling match the other night. Did pretty freaking well for a kid in kindergarten!

A did really well his first match. He dominated the kid.

The second match he wasn't so lucky. He was paired with a kid who was way too serious about wrestling for a five year old, and he lost. But he took SECOND place!
Way to go A!

Camden is my favorite. He would hide, and then poke out his head. I tried to get the best picture I could, from across the room.

C thought this was my purse. He kept stealing it and running away. He'd look back and laugh at me. So cute.

This is my favorite picture of the night. So classic.

My cute J and myself. :)

And these are pretty pink gerbers that J bought me. Love him.

I love fall.
I love fall even more when I get to see this little lady. The cutest N, and her also very cute little sister S. Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures of S; but here are some of N.

When I first started taking pictures she was so happy and went along with it.

Then I caught her while she was coloring the Princesses (which were covered in glitter; and by the end so was she)

And this is definitely my favorite. She looked at me and said "I don't want you to take pictures of me," and this is that exact moment. Best facial ever.

This is one Kate took. I just stole it. :)

While Papa Ted was out raking the leaves, N decided she needed to be outside with him. This is where she ended up. (Can you spot the child?)

The trampoline was covered in leaves; but that didn't stop her.

This was my favorite. She kept running around the trampoline, which was slippery from the condensation on the leaves; and would slip and fall; she loved it. Continued to run around.

She's the cutest; and I miss all of you all ready. J and I told N that when she comes back to see JW that we'll take her sledding and I don't think I've ever seen a child so excited.
So, to say the least, we're looking forward to that.

...

"marriage is like the trash; if you don't take it out once a week, it starts to stink."
My trash is starting to stink.

happy birthday to me...

So yesterday was my birthday, big 2-0, no longer a crazy teenager.
I worked my regular 8 hour day, but felt pretty special when I woke up to 14 text messages. After work J picked me up and took me home to change, where he had a GORGEOUS bouquet of flowers waiting (Gerber daisies...my favorite!)
He then took me shopping. We first went to downeast outfitters, possibly my favorite store ever. I got a new pair of slipper/shoe things, a GREEN double breasted coat, and some new earrings.
Then we went to Nordi Rack..my second favorite store where I purchased new True Religion jeans. Quite the purchase, and John had a hard time justifying $110 for jeans, but he bought them for me nonetheless, and I love them. At least I didn't ask for him to buy me the $200 Burberry rain boots, or heels...both fabulous shoes, but way too expensive; even when they were down from their regular $500. Eek.
We finished shopping and went up to my parents' house, and they bought us Crown Burger. Our favorite fast food restaurant.
Then we went home and watched Dodgeball.
All and all, a great day full of favorites.
I love birthdays. and my John.

I want him.

He's two years old, papered, certified, up-to-date on shots, and best of all...he's potty trained.

It'd be worth every cent of the $500 I would pay for him, just to have a friend to come home to.

sneak peek...

So I stole this from Opie's Blog. She added some of my bridal pictures, and a sneak peek of the wedding pictures all finished.
I'm so excited to get our album back, and to get the CD of all the pictures. Once I have them, maybe I'll post some more. But probably not...they'll go up on fbook. :)

it's been a while...

so I guess I'll blog. even though I have nothing to talk about.
I'm pretty bored with life. I work every day from 9-5, come home to an empty house, sit around by myself for usually at least an hour. Sometimes I do some of my homework, other times I just sit. It's pretty boring doing the exact same thing every day. I'm begging John for a puppy, because then I'd come home to something at least. He says that's not possible at the moment, seeing as we're both gone all day, and there would be no one to potty train the dog. I guess that makes sense. It just sucks being home alone.
Also, I miss my family. I swear we're always at J's parents' house, but we never see my parents. Kind of had a breakdown over it this last week. But something I have to get over.
Marriage is great, don't get me wrong. I love John and I love being married to him, I just am attention hungry I guess. Everything will be just fine though.
Like I said...nothing too exciting to blog about.
We're headed to Vegas next month for the Utah vs. UNLV football game. My little brother found front row tickets for 30 bucks, can't say no to that. So that will be nice, a weekend away is always good.
Well, that's all. If you're reading this, don't worry about me. I'm fine, just livin' day to day.

it's the most wonderful time of the year

UTAH FOOTBALL SEASON!!
It's back, and I love life.
The first game was last night against Utah State. I have to say, not the best display of Utah football, and USU had me scared for a minute. (After one of their players took the ball from one side of the field to the other side for a touchdown in one run. Eek.) It was a fun game. Even though I haven't felt that fantastic, I thoroughly enjoyed the return of the best season of the year.

Kate and I before the game. I like the front of the MUSS shirts this year. I think the back is a cop-out. Oh well. Love that they're underamour though.

This is how John stayed occupied while I was at the game. He opted out of going to the games with me, seeing as the MUSS guest pass would have costed us $90, and he's not even that in to football, or sports for that matter. If you look at the bottom of both of the pictures, you'll see a hummer made out of knex. Yes, he built that. I hope our children get his creativity.

That's what you get for waking up in Vegas...

We went to Vegas on our honeymoon, and my oh my, was it blazing hot.

One day we hit 112. It was killer. But we had fun nonetheless.

In front of the Bellagio. We decided to walk through the shops at Caesars. Too bad those stores are disgustingly expensive. Although, we did donate to Bikers Against Drunk Driving, just so John could enter to try and win a Shelby Cobra.

The pool was the only escape from the heat. Too bad it was the size of our bedroom and 1000 other people were trying to take refuge there also.

On our way to the outlets. Our taxi driver was pretty awesome.

John was IN HEAVEN when he saw this store. He was disappointed by the time we lef though...they didn't have anything Dale Earnhardt Sr. In fact, they only sold four drivers' stuff.

Wedding Day

July 27, 2009
The day finally came!
Best day ever. Seriously, everything went so smoothly and it was absolutely perfect.

Walking out of the temple. We couldn't find the photographer, only because the temple decided to throw a fast one at us. It all worked out though.

Welcome to my side of the family.

Siblings, spouses, and children.

My cute parents.

Bridesmaids and Groomsmen

This has become my favorite picture of Kati and I. So cute.

This picture is a little more true to our personanlities. Love this one too.

Some of the bridesmaids and myself.

Abbi, Melissa, Marianne, and Mandy.

Yes we wore Chuck Taylors. And we loved it.

She is my favorite. Miss you guys.

Samantha, Rachel, Megan, Me, Kate, Alta, Chloee, and Kacey

Cutting the cake. I made it quite clear that he wasn't allowed to shove it in my face.

He looks a little hesitant, doesn't he?

First dance. :)
Dancing with my Daddy.

After the Dutch dance. Possibly the best tradition ever.
Such a great day. Thanks to everyone who made it go so smoothly. Thank you to both sets of parents for making it happen.
We love you all!
